Honestly, can you folks just let people close their email accounts WITHOUT having to log into personal messaging, open another account, provide a different email address or any of the other ridiculously idiotic requirements suggested in the queries on these forums???

Can you all just put a simple link to CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT and let people use it??? How absurd the excuses "oh, our engineers are working on it", "we are aware if the issue", and of course my fav, "you have to close all your subscriptions, enter your PUID, then go to billing and remove all personal data to close your Live account, then loop back to close your Hotmail account and finally close your Outlook account, all while holding your breath while facing northeast during the sunrise on the fourth Tuesday in February and hopping on one foot while chanting Buddhist mantras and thinking "really positive" thoughts..." and so on. Seriously. Not to mention all the dead links the mods put in these posts, none of which work.

OF COURSE YOU'RE AWARE OF THE ISSUE - YOU PEOPLE DID THIS ON PURPOSE TO TRY AND FORCE PEOPLE TO BE STUCK WITH YOU!!! If that's not the case, then you might need to hire some competent engineers from Google or perhaps from any local high school computer class! Seriously!

After reading this forum and the countless threads regarding the issue, clearly it now borders on malfeasance on Microsoft's part regarding the matter.

This is just pathetic and desperate!

The only thing more absurd from you folks than this fiasco is that "advice" when seeking "More Help" in windows, you know, the part where it says to "Ask a Friend"!!!!LOL, how far you have fallen.

Now I know all you "Smart" people at Microsoft know we're all really stupid, which is why we're all here using your "free" service, but cut us some slack please, PLEASE?!?!

Thank You and Have a Nice Daisy
