I've got to find this thing and cut its throat. What is it? More important, where is it and how do I control it?
I have no idea what might be causing this, but when I turned on my Mac Mini, running Office 2011 for the Mac, a folder called "Office Logging" popped up on the home screen, and a program called Microsoft Database Daemon - Troubleshooting, began to run...endlessly.
I can't find it on my machine, in Finder or anywhere else, and yet every 10 seconds or so, the screen blips, and the log adds another logging file. Because of this, I can't even open Outlook, and while Word opens, I can't type anything in it because every
ten seconds comes that blip, which wipes out a lot of what I was typing.
