I've had this problem for a while now, ever since Hotmail migrated to Outlook. Apparently lots of other people have too. Every time I login to my email, it works fine for a while but then develops a problem where my messages won't open. They highlight when clicked on, but don't open. Everything looks dead. I can fix it by closing down explorer and re-opening, but this is getting to be a real pain. I have tried several of the suggested fixes (clearing browser, installing Silverlight, etc) but nothing makes any difference whatsoever. The problem only seems to happen with explorer though. I have not yet seen the problem when using Firefox, but I don't use that much anymore. Somebody else mentioned that they had the problem using IE9, but not with IE8. I am using IE10. Is this some kind of bug with the newer versions of Explorer? or a bug with the new Outlook version of Hotmail? Unfortunately, I upgraded my Explorer about the same time that Hotmail migrated to Outlook, so I don't know which is responsible!

If so many people have reported this problem, why haven't Microsoft tried to fix it ONCE at their end, rather than asking hundreds of people (one-at-a-time) to go through this ridiculous sequence of things to check and try. This problem never used to happen with the old Hotmail interface, so obviously a bug has been introduced by Microsoft at some point, either in the migration from Hotmail to Outlook, or some kind of compatibility issue with new versions of Internet Explorer.
