I have Windows 8 and Live Mail 2012.  My account is not a Hotmail account or a POP account.  Messages in my inbox disappear after only a few hours and I cannot find them even when using the search feature.  I have searched the forums and done everything suggested (including selecting Show all messages in "filter messages" and synchronizing all messages after right-clicking the inbox).  Nothing changes.  My messages keep disappearing.   I do not have this problem on my desktop computer which uses Outlook Express, but only on my new laptop with Windows Live Mail.
