Lost emails from my inbox after restoring from back up

After syncing my iphone with my macbook I was asked to restore my settings.  This restored it to the factory settings and I was then asked to download my latest back up.

After this I discovered that my inbox on my outlook (from my macbook) only showed the last weeks emails - as per my phone settings.

How can I restore these emails?
