My very first account was this hotmail account. I've logged in several times in the last year (the last in the beginning of this year) and everything seemed fine.
I've noticed now that I've been upgraded to the new outlook.com account (but still able to login with the hotmail credentials) but lost everything. All emails, all contacts...all of it.

These are very important emails that I wanted to keep (some from people that aren't even around anymore) and I trusted hotmail (or microsoft) to keep them in a safe place as a email service provider.

I've read some threads that this happens for accounts that had no activity in 365 days...but I've logging in the past few months.

Is there any chance at all that I can recover this and save them on a hard copy?
