I have been locked out of my account for thirty days. This is a supposedly a security measure to ensure I am who I say I am.  I had to change my alternative email address because I stupidly linked the accounts way back, so I had one password to access them all, and forgot the original associated with the account. I set to answering the questionnaire to reset my password on the alternative account but couldn't because I never used the alternative email to send anything, if I did it was too many years ago to remember and I can't fill in the password I used in the past because I forgot it, duh, who was the not so bright spark who came up with that idea.  So I had to reset my security account to one from an alternative provider. It will take thirty days to verify my main account apparently!!! 

In the mean time I am locked out of my emails and now have to spend valuable time going around to all my hotmail contacts and websites and change my contact to an alternative provider. My hotmail gets important emails from University and I am stuck without them. This is not an acceptable position in which to strand a customer, it is unacceptable and shows an inept ability in which to assure security. How can I gain access to my account before the thirty days. If I can't then it is curtains for Hotmail/Outlook because I need a provider that provides security and customer service, please help. 

Very disgruntled customer. Also you can't notify me of when this is answered, if it will be, as I cannot see my emails :(
