I've found out that if you don't send email from your live mail account that there is no way of resetting the account, since that's what they want to prove it's yours. That and having created a new folder, but how many people even do that? Surely there must be millions of people like myself who use an account to only receive mail, and never make a different folder. Well every single one of them is at risk for losing their account if they ever log on at a different IP address, which is what triggered mine being locked.

So anyway, I was just scrolling through different threads started with similar problems as mine where people have locked email accounts, and notice that the only link being give out has a series of questions in which every single link leads to the sign in page for live mail. Well if you're locked out of your account, then every single one of those links is useless.

Well this means that if that one link doesn't work, it doesn't matter which problem you started with, you're out of luck.

In my case the issue involves not having any sent mail to put in the form. It's a commerce account for ebay/paypal, not a communications account.

So point blank question for the mods here, is that it? I'm out of luck because I never sent any mail? There's no other support offered anymore? Because the first time this happened to me (on another account), they allowed me to simply reset my password and move on.
Is that no longer available?
