Each time I try to sign into my livemail I get the following error

Unable to send or receive messages for the Hotmail account.

Server Error: 3219
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x8DE00005

I am able to sign into Outlook.com but it does not have the features that my Livemail has.  For example, I was able to sort my inbox by sender or topic. I was able to search for an email sent by a particular sender.

I researched if a sort can be done in outlook.com but was unable to find the procedure.  There were some blogs about creating rules and I attempted to do this for one of my senders i.e. send all emails from sender bell to a temp folder.  I followed the instructions on how to set this up.  No emails were moved to the temp folder set to receive the sort (two are held in the inbox).

I am running Windows 7.  I really don't want to move the messages anywhere I just want to sort them.  Additionally, is there any way to sort items in a folder?

Ideally I would like to have my livemail back.  I really don't want to give up my @Hotmail.com account as I am a soldier who has moved and been deployed overseas and the only constant throughout the years has been my email address.  People always knew that no matter where I was transferred or deployed the address to contact me would be constant.  Unfortunately the new Outlook.com seems to cumbersome (not to mention the annoying ads - there is only so often a person can watch some belly fat jiggle) that it might be necessary to give up on Microsoft and start new.

Thank you
