I have several computers, some use outlook, most use Live Mail.  They all refer to the same accounts, it's just a matter of which one I'm using at the time for convenience...  anyway...  I have two step verification for my Microsoft ID related stuff turned on.

On my newest computer (running windows 7) Live Mail opens fine, gets mail fine, but every 1 to 5 days the modal dialog for the Live ID sign-in pops up.  As if somehow I've invalidated the password or something else has.  Then I have to log in to accounts.live.com and generate a new password.  If I wipe out existing apps, then I have to redo this on all the computers that use apps (like Live Mail) that don't grok the new method of identification (tedious and unhelpful ultimately).  I don't really like the thought that I have an ever increasing list of app passwords, but... I can cancel out of the modal dialog, of course, but that doesn't really fix it, just delays dealing with it.

The really odd thing... on the other computers this does not seem to be happening at all. WHAT!? (unless I wipe out the password list on accounts.live.com)

What the heck am I doing wrong that the Live ID portion of Live Mail is loosing the password at random and yet the app itself continues to work just fine?

I really hope that makes sense to someone.  Let me know what information I've not provided or presented poorly to help resolve this.

Cheers!
