1st Guaranteed Freeze Cause: It is especially guaranteed to occur every time that I type the 1st Quote Character in front of any word that should be in quotes.
For Example, while typing:
We plan to add / implement new "Sidebar Widgets" to handle your new site's "Call to Action" requirements.
Windows Live Mail will completely freeze up and stop responding for anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes as soon as I type the 1st Quote Character in the sequence above ( NOT the 2nd or end-quote characters ). The freeze occurs just as I type the quote character
( not after ).
2nd Guaranteed Freeze up cause: If I am typing and need to jump back a few words and make edits... If I use the [ Ctrl + Back Arrow] ( i.e. word jump backwords ) or [ Shift + Ctrl + Back Arrow ] ( i.e. jump and highlight text one word at a time
)
As soon as I start typing over the just-selected words -- Live Mail will freeze-up as well.
However, the freezing up is not by any means limited to quote characters only -- it happens all the time anyway. SO -- that above example sentence ( not to mention a full email ) will take me about 5 to 10 minutes to finish.
It is ... really... really... horrible.
As best that I can ascertain -- this has to do with problems incurred by my new Office 2013 installation. Every time that Live mail freezes there is a new spell-check .dll in memory using up all the processor time, ( as viewed in Task Manage ). I back-tracked
this .dll to be part of the new Office 2013 spell-checker utility.
Are there any already existing fixes for this issue -- as my day-to-day effectiveness in responding to clients has come to an abysmal stand-still. Thank you.
