So I just did a C-Drive wipe, and a complete re-install of Windows 7 Home Premium. I've updated everything... Windows Updates, Dell Driver Updates, All Security Updates, and including Windows Essentials 2012. I also set up ( re-established ) my email account in Windows Live Mail. The UI looks newer, but I'm able to send and receive emails just fine. Here's the MAJOR problem...
The button in the top-left corner ( immediately left of the HOME button ) which is used to access options, Import / Export, etc. is not LIVE!? Everything else "seems" to be fine, but that one button is "un-clickable". This is VITAL because I have hundreds of stored emails and an extensive address book stored on my external drive, but no way to import either.
Some time ago I changed the WLM storage folder location to the external drive "just in case". I've uninstalled WLM twice, no result. I've deleted my email account, uninstalled Essentials 2012 completely, then went through the download process again, including setting up my email account again. Still, the button is not LIVE and won't allow me to Import anything because the drop-down window isn't available?
I've even re-installed Windows 7 a second time. Everything goes fine accept that one button. I wouldn't mind switching to an online email, but those .eml & .wab files on my external drive are just sitting there, and very much needed!
Does ANYONE have a clue?
Thank You!
Tom
