This problem has been going on for a while but is getting much worse since I upgraded to Windows 10

When I try to attach an image to an email using Live Mail the program freezes.  I have to restart Live mail and try several times before it allows the attachment. 

I've tried to use a plain text message (rather than HTML version) with a little more success but I still have the problem.  I've also tried using the paper clip to attach, as well as the photo album icon.  I still have to restart the email program at least 3 times before I can get the attachment without freezing the program. 

Once the progress has been successful once, I have no further problem until I actually close Live Mail and then the problem starts all over again. 

I'm about ready to switch to another program for my emails.  Any solutions out there please?
