I am using Windows Live Mail 2012 with Windows 10 O/S. For the past two days, since a recent update, Live Mail will no longer send or receive hotmail. My other email programs run perfectly (Gmail and one other one), but not hotmail.

I get error code 0x80070057.

After reading many posts on this site, I tried whatever advice I could apply, but nothing has helped. Run Windows Essentials 2012 repair as well as reinstalling it. No luck. Any suggestions would be welcome.

After running Essentials repair one more time, Live Mail now won't open at all.
