I upgraded to Windows 10 and tried to configure Live Mail to work with my Charter account, I get the following message:

Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:
   Account: Charter (XXXXXX)
   Server: IMAP.charter.net
User name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 143
   Secure(SSL): 1
   Code: 800ccc0e

Charter says to set the IMAP port to 143.  The exchange fails as quickly as I start it.  If I change the IMAP port to 993 it seems

to run longer but fails with the same message only the port says 993.

I have tried to change the SMTP port number to 587 as suggested in other emails, but same result.

I have Norton Internet Security and I tried shutting off the email scan, but same result.

Any other suggestions?
