I have a windows live.com.au account, with a POP3 to MS Outlook (2007) on my home PC.

Every once in a while, for no apparent reason at all, every single email on the server redownloads to Outlook as new mail. It just happened to me now. I am right now receving 1993 duplicate emails (313MB worth) re-downloading as new mail into my Outlook, all with the original "received date".

I haven't touched anything to do with my windows account or outlook to provoke this. Thankfully I worked out there is a "modified" filter I can use to scroll down to when the duplicates started downloading all over again so I don't end up with multiples of every e-mail I have already received and dealt with!

Can anyone please help explain why this is happening and what I can do to stop this?

Aaaargh!
