Windows 8.1

I recently changed computers and downloaded Photo gallery and imported by pictures.  On my old computer I had a choice in the navigation pane:  by date AND by tag.  Now I can only see by date.  I can find the tag by going to Descriptive tags>Manage Tags, but it is a nuisance.  How can I get them both listed in the navigation pane?
