Hello, I do see some similar questions, however, my need is very specific so I wish to start my own thread. First understand that my domain does not spam, we have SPF set up, rDNS is setup, and we use DKIM for outbound messages. My small company runs a legitimate and non spamming service and we only send a small number of emails per month, primarily to existing clients and business partners, as well as those who have requested information. As a state licensed professional I have important legal and ethical obligations to uphold and communicating with our clients is part of that.
We recently got some complaints that clients and fellow agents were not receiving our emails delivered to Hotmail accounts. We checked all public blacklists and we are not on any of them, and our SenderBase reputation is neutral. As mentioned above we have all our technical settings in place also.
I set up a test Hotmail account and sent an email message from our domain and it was delivered straight to the junk folder. My main question is whether you have my IP address (64.191.35.90) or my domain (actionrealestate.biz) on any type of internal greylist. If so, what steps can I take to get it off.
If you are not greylisting it, why is email from it going directly to spam by default. I did not adjust any default settings when I opened the Hotmail account, and surely I would not be expected to set up a 'permitted' senders list in advance.
Thank you for any assistance.
