Friday night, someone broke into my apartment and stole my laptop. I had installed Prey (preyproject.com), a piece of tracking & recovery software in the event that something like this ever happened. However, it has dawned on me that unless the thief can log in to my computer, they can't use it and Prey can't work it's magic. I attempted to reset my password for my account to something simple so they would be able to log in with a few guesses, but the webform disallows weak passwords. I am hoping someone will be able to manually set an intentionally weak/obvious password on my account to facilitate the recovery process.
