I was happy to see that when adding keywords to images in Windows Live Gallery (WLG), they were attached to the files and visible in the properties. This meant I could even search them with other programs, like Adobe Bridge.

However, when I went from jpg to raw, the keywords were no longer visible (which is quite understandable, since raw is a totally different kind of format). The keywords are still visible and searchable within WLG, though.

I hope someone can give me information on how WLG attaches the keywords to the raw files. Are they no longer available if I copy the images to a computer without WLG (or without the pd6 file)? Because with jpg they are!

And, if the keywords do not follow the raw files, is there any way I can make them do so?

Thank you!

Rolf
