At the start of August, my hotmail account *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was hacked and, as far as I can tell, was used to send spam weightloss emails to everybody in my contacts list.  I was therefore blocked from it, and asked to have my verification code sent to another email address. Unfortunately the email address I provided was an old work one, which I haven't used since 2007, so I was asked to fill out a form to verify my identity.

I have tried to fill in the form using as much detail as possible; people I've sent emails to, old passwords, folder names etc, but each time it was returned as containing insufficient information. I was also told to change my password, which I did.

I have now had a 'final update' from Microsoft and been told to create a new account, as I am not providing enough information.  After trying to contact them further I was told to post here for help.

I am very upset, as I have had this email account since around 1999 or 2000, and it contains all my contacts and lots of personal information from the last 13 years.

Please can you help to unblock my account?  I can provide a different email address and a mobile phone number to link to this account, and any other information required.

Thanks,
Kay
