It takes extremely long time to upload my photos and videos, anything that can be done to make it faster?

i have 58 GB of photos and movies to upload to Sky drive, for back up purposes. 
But I have been uploading files now for a few days and it really takes too long to get the whole bunch uploaded, what can be done?
I am uploading only some at a time.
