I am using 3 identical machines ( 27" Samsung AIOs) with an 64Gb SSD + 1 Tb HDD. Unfortunately, I upgraded ALL of them to Windows 8.1 and WITHOUT installing any apps on system drive I am running out of space on all SSD ( I have around 5.61 Gb left on each).
All apps are installed on the HDD- I paid a lot of attention always when installing, also my pix+rest of my were moved to HDD
Main culprits are :
$users$/appdata 8.0Gb
$users$/skydrive 7.5
pagefile 8 gb
hyberfil 6.4
$windows$ 15 Gb ( winsxs only 5.4)
$program data$ 14.3 Gb
program files x86 3.3 Gb
program files 1.7 GB
I am trying to move the Skydrive folder since I am not decided to mess with WinSXS folder ( YET!).
Reading trough forums, I understood it is a glitch with the version included in 8.1 so is impossible to reallocate the drive folder. Also, I cannot reverse the "make available online" and no matter what I do, the folder size stays the same.
Is there anyway I could get rid of the SkyDrive folder without impacting the files stored on cloud ( if i just delete them from local folder they get deleted on cloud also, gave me a huge scare)?
I really need an update for this integrated app....
