Hi,

I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 on my desktop.  It seems now that I can no longer login into Windows with a local account and use SkyDrive as I did before... That is, copy files or directories to my local SkyDrive directory and be confident they would be automatically copied online.

Is that really the case?

Here's hoping this is not the case as I will keep using the local account.  I don't need a "global" account as I have but one desktop, I don't want to buy any of those oh-so limited apps, I don't participate in social networks, and I am not fond of the idea of uploading a whole bunch of my files.

Will I have to switch to Google Drive?
