Today, only, October 8th 2017: Every time I am opening a email and reading it, error message pops up stating "there is an error and Windows Live must close, and any unsaved work will be lost."

This also  occurred today, while I was updating by data in my contacts.

What is the problem and how can I keep it from shutting down while I'm in the middle of something?
