I am running Outlook 2011 on OS 10.9.2. I recently migrated from mainly using my old Macbook to my Mac Mini and in the interest of saving time and bandwidth (I have incredibly slow internet where I am), I exported my inbox contents from my Mac Outlook using the in-system funciton (.olm file). Ever since, my outlook inbox keeps trying to download the same number of email (4080) from the server. When a new email comes through, it says, for example, downloading 1/4081 (2 emails is 2/4082 etc). I presume the 4080 are the emails that I have imported. It seems that outlook is not actually making any progress downloading these "new" emails, presumably because it recognises that they are already in my inbox, but it doesn't stop saying it is trying to download them.

I see the option to "repair" the folder,but that would basically mean deleting all the emails in my inbox and redownloading them, which I am kind of keen not to do given the size/time it would take. Can anyone please offer any suggestions?
