I now use a Sony Xperia Z Ultra for all my photos and videos, previously I used a Sony Cyber-Shot and I had no problem importing. 

Now, when I import, even though I have only a few photos or videos on my mobile, the computer software (Windows Live Photo Gallery) tells me I have several hundred and these are all imported, although often in different formats. 

I have checked the 'delete after importing' option and after each import, the Album on my mobile tells me there are no pictures/videos left on the device, but I guess they are being stored somewhere on my mobile, but have no idea where.  How can I stop this continual duplication happening?  It is really frustrating having to go through each import and delete duplicates. 

Help, please!  I'd be so grateful.
