Before Windows 8.1 I used to import photos from my Canon camera (through Canon ZoomBrowser) and they were automatically grouped in separate folders or lines by DATE TAKEN.  When importing a thousand photos at once from a month's holiday it was very convenient to separately name each day's folder for ease of future reference. Now, in Photo Gallery they all load in one big lump according to DATE IMPORTED, making sorting and future reference a "nightmare".

When importing to Photo Gallery (or My Pictures) is it possible to import by DATE TAKEN separated by individual folders or lines for each day taken?
