I loaded photos from my camera, with no error messages displayed, so I assumed the import process went OK. however, they do not show up in Photo Gallery.

I can use Windows Explorer and see them, but they do not display in Photo Gallery.

How can I point Photo Gallery to the file location where I see the photos using Windows Explorer?
