I have been struggling to find a solution to this problem.

I have created a simple IMAP email account for a new email address. As far as I know, the account is set up to run properly (incoming, outgoing, ports, etc). For some reason Outlook is automatically moving a new message from the IMAP account's Inbox to the IMAP account's Trash, and making a copy of the new message on my local computer's Inbox. This completely defeats the purpose of using an IMAP system.

I have no rules or schedules mucking anything up. This a fresh install of Outlook 2011 and it's updated to the most current version, however I did import quite a large email backlog from Entourage when I upgraded. But that was ONE email account that had been using a POP system for a very long time. I don't want to use that POP system anymore, and created this IMAP account fresh along with the update.

I simply want the IMAP mail to stay on the server like it's supposed to.
