When deleting messages in my Outlook/Hotmail account they are not automatically being deleted in my iMac "Mail" app which means I have to go through the messages again, in MAIL App, and delete them all again.       On my iPad the messages are deleted in synch with the Outlook account

Apple advise this is because the Hotmail account is classed as a POP account and that Hotmail/Outlook should be  able to rectify.

Please advise
