I've been using Windows Live and have received an email stating that I must upgrade by downloading Skype.  If I don't I will lose access to my email.

I don't have the equipment for Skype, nor do I have any use for it.  I am totally perplexed by this.  I find this very disturbing and unfair - especially since Windows 7 is not compatible with Outlook Express.  What options do I have in this case?
