I have the SkyDrive desktop application installed on three PCs. They are running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. I also have SkyDrive on a Surface RT and a Windows 8 phone.
On the Windows 7 system files in the SkyDrive folder have the icon overlay changing from the green tick symbol to the blue arrows in a circle. On the other systems the same files keep the green tick symbol. No changes have been made to any of these files. Files can be added to the SkyDrive folder and synchronised but modifying these files in place does not synchronise them. The files are mostly .txt, .rtf or .jpg.
There are entries for these files in the SyncDiagnostics log. These are mostly of the form:
syncProblem=CloudFileNotInDat:<filename>,isPartner:false
There are two with syncProblem=LastUpdateTimeMismatch
There is an occasional Event log entry
Session "SkyDriveSessionName" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022 fromKernel-EventTracing
When I first noticed this problem, I resolved it by deleting the folders from SkyDrive and copying back in. I'd like to avoid having to do this again with the associated synchronising and checking all the devices are actually holding the same data.
