I recently reformatted my computer. when I reinstalled microsoft office 10, the mouse goes wherever it wants. Please advise.

I did some troubleshootin and the message reads, "incmpatable program". As I'm typing this the mouse/computer jumps all around. Help would be greatly appreciated.
