I need help unlocking an old hotmail account I tried to log in yesterday but I had the wrong password (I think the account has been hacked, because I am pretty certain I had the password correct). After too many attempts, the account is now locked. THE AUTOMATED UNLOCK MECHANISMS DO NOT WORK, for the following reasons: The 'answer the secret question' process had a question that I did not have the answer to (which makes me further believe the account has been hacked - why would I enter a question that I don't know the answer to??) The automated password re-set system does not work because I do not have enough info to unlock the account. It asks questions like 'what were recent addresses you sent emails to?' etc. I have not used the account for weeks - as such I have no idea what recent emails I sent. I have tried the automated system a couple of times and keep getting a response to say that I haven't entered enough information, but I don't have any additional information to enter. How the **** do I unlock the account??? Summary: hotmail account locked automated account unlock mechanisms don't work (have tried them) What is the next step??
