I tried editing my account info....I clicked the : Use an existing email address as your primary alias and entered my new alias (holly**@hotmail.com) and it gives me the error message:  You can't use @hotmail.com in your Microsoft account email address. Please try a different email address.......

I try logging into hotmail using my new alias and it takes me back to the page of my old, original alias.  It shows me all of the old alias email stuff.

My intention is to have the new alias email stuff pop up when i log in.....at present it just presents itself as a folder, not even notifying me of new emails.

Please help.  THANKS!

(also, what if i want to get rid of my old alias completely?  and only use the new alias and see its info for now on?
