Hi ! My camera makes clips with the format .mts, and resolution 1080p/50 fps. I am using the same quality settings when I edit those clips into a movie, and have been making a number of such movies. However I have only been making shorter movies, about 15 minutes or so. Bitrate is usually around 20- 24 kbps, both in clips and in resulting movie. Lately I have made attempts to put together movies that lasts an hour or close to an hour. The rendering process seems to work okay and the process-indicator runs smooth, and after perhaps an hour or so, I get the message that my movie is finished. Do I want to start the movie or do I want to go to the folder it's in?. When I go to the folder, there it is......but it's only showing me a black screen in the player, regardless of which player I try. In addittion, the size of the moviefile is only a couple of kb when I show the files properties? IF I render the movie using **** settings instead, I lower the framerate to 30 fps and the bitrate to 8 kbps the resulting movie looks less than desireable but works to render. Why can't I use the same settings to make a longer movie that I am using to make a short movie? I have got an Intel I7 processor (watercooled), 16 megs of RAM, My system disc is a SSD 128 Gb (45 % used), my pagefile is managed by windows. Oh, and my operating system is win 7, 64 bit ultimate edition. Hope anyone has any tips to give me, I really like movie maker otherwise, it's more competent than many of the other programs I have tried out!
