The phone number that Microsoft want to send the code to is no longer in use.
The email address was created a long time ago (10 years ago) and I do not use it that much. Ihave been unable to Validate my identity by providing information as per the Recover your Windows Live account page.

I know the majority of emails were facebook notifications. I need to gain access to my account because I am expecting important correspondence from the CFA exam board. 

I am happy to discuss this in detail with a Microsoft representative.
