First I would like to say that I had been waiting to rename my account for almost 10 months; the alias rename feature was not available for me since I renamed my account twice while I was testing the rename functionality in September last year. A few days ago, I made a try to find out if renaming was finally available, so I tested changing my account's primary Alias from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it worked. Since this was just a test and *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was not really the address I wanted, I decided to revert the change and renamed the account back to *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, taking into consideration that reverting to the previous account would not count as a renaming attempt. One moment later I tried to rename *** Email address is removed for privacy *** to the desired account and I got the following message in spite of renaming the alias only once: "You've already renamed this account. Please try again later."

Please help me; I have been waiting for so long to rename my work e-mail account and now that it finally works it would be terrible if I had to wait for months again to have it renamed. I cannot find the link now but I recall reading a couple of days ago that reverting an alias name back to the original would not count as a second renaming attempt. I will sincerely appreciate your help since it would be really inconvenient for me to wait for months again and creating a new account is not an option since I would have to send invitations to all my messenger contacts and would risk losing some them.
