I am hoping that someone can help as I am going round in circles!

I am trying to access my older hotmail account which I set up about 10 years ago.

I know the email address and password, but when I signed in it asked me to verify I am the owner.

I haven't had to log into the account directly for quite some time as it used to be linked to my newer live account, but since the link has been removed this is the first time I've tried to log back in. I rarely sent emails from it, but family members oversees and older friends seem to use this account to send my emails to and it is linked to some other websites.

Due to setting the account up a decade ago, I can no longer remember the answer to the security question, it was not linked an xbox live account, i don't remember any folders I created and I certainly can't remember the subject of the last few emails I sent. The alternate email set up on the account, which I foolishly assumed would have changed when it was linked to my newer live account is the account I had prior to the hotmail account and no longer exists.

Please let me know if anything can be done. There must be someone with access that can verify that it was linked to my current account or I can speak to to provide human verified details of the content of the account to (such as a picture of me as the profile on the account!)
