Hi Vanessa,
Not very professional of you to dump me off your Win Update Problems thread.
I needed help, I asked you for help and you decided it was too difficult for you.
I'm still struggling with this Windows 10 Pro update/install problem.
However, things have improved a bit.
Windows update/install recently found several updates were required:
* Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3135782).
* Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, 2016 x64 Edition - January 2017 (KB890830).
* Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (for x64-based Systems) (KB3214628).
Each of these dowloaded and installed without problems so it appears that the Windows update/install app itself might not be the cause of the problem.
Windows update/install also found:
* Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3210721).
However, this Cumulative Update presents the same problems as KB3205386. It will not install and it won't allow me to download it manually.
It appears that update KB3205386 has spawned a equally malicious off-spring.
So, it would appear that specific Updates are at the root of the problem.
I'm sure that this must make it easier to analyse the problem since it indicates that rubbish is being fed into a reputable app.
Please tell me if I am not providing enough information/detail to assist with resolving my/your problem.
Thanks,
It would be nice to think that there might be some light at the end of this tunnel before we arrive at another New Year.
Tony
