How to save all emails in WindowsLiveMail in a safe directory to enable deleting the existing storage?

I want to uninstall WindowsLiveMail and to update to a new version,

I have 5 accounts and need to save all emails in a safe directory that I can import all emails back

to the updated WindowsLiveMail.

How to do it safely?
