I have a friend who just purchased a new iMac that is running Mavericks (OS X 10.9). She wants to have all of her old Office 2011 files available on the new computer. Can she just copy the Office 2011 Identities folders from her old iMac (running OS X
10.6.8) on to an external HD and use this to overwrite the Office 2011 Identities folder on the new iMac (running OS X 10.9)? Basically doing the same action that I've done in the past, but between different versions of the Mac OS.
Over the years I've been very happy to synchronize my (previously Entourage or) Outlook experience on 4 different computers by copying my Documents > Microsoft User Data > Office 2011 Identities folders from one computer to another via use of an external
HD prior to a work session on a given computer. All 4 are using the same Mac OS (OS X 10.6.8).
