I still have the same problem as in my first post. I'm sorry it has been marked as answered because I did not understand the instruction at the bottom of the email I received in reply. I'm new to the Community.
Thank you for the reply I received, but I’m sorry to say that it did not solve my problem. I need to say that I’m using Windows Live Mail (WLM) not Outlook. I think that was clear from my post although I didn’t state that specifically. The solution offered was for Outlook.
I nevertheless followed the advice offered. I updated Windows through Windows Update, with the exception of Bing Desktop which I don’t want. This did not solve the problem.
I have now installed IE10 and deleted IE 9 cookies. I had high hopes with this because a friend who had WLM and IE10 can open emails that I can’t and that seemed to be the only difference. Sorry to say that it didn’t work.
If anyone has it, I would be grateful for advice specifically on Windows Live Mail please.
