How do I retrieve my hotmail account, i am so frustrated trying to retrieve my account and asking to verify this then lossing the information.

I want to retrieve my Hotmail account, I was trying to send some pictures and Microsoft live open and I needed to log in. After setting up this outlook account now I can not find my Hotmail account nor is outlook sending the pictures. I am so confused and frustrated now.
