How do I ‘end task’ when I get a red X?

After an unsuccessful attempt to send photos I choose to quit trying but WLM keeps trying to send.
I click on the red X, I try 'delete' several ways, I try CtlAltDel and 'end task' , I reboot, nothing gets rid of it.
