I am really confused about the new look of my hotmail account. It also tells me that a lot of functions like editing of drafts are not supported by outlook basic. What did I miss here?

I am just signing into my email account the same way I have doing it for the past 10 years. So what do I need to change to get all of the functions and a better look back?
