hotmail.com renaming feature

I was wondering if there is an update regarding the reactivation of the renaming feature for my @hotmail.com. I have an @outlook.com address that I am awaiting the 365 days to elapse for me to rename my hotmail.com address to my preference of my outlook.com address. I only see the ability to alias. I want to rename. Thanks in advance
