Recently, I have been asked to fill in my e-mail & password immediately after I sign into Xbox Live. I had my password & e-mail set so it would "remember" them and sign in without having to fill everything out again (due to repetitive use of this, I had
forgotten my password linked to the Windows ID). When I select "continue" and confirm the auto-filled e-mail & blanked out password, I am then prompted with:
"Sorry, something's wrong with your Microsoft account. Go to https://account.live.com for help. Code: 8015D003."
I used that link and turned up at the log-in page for Microsoft Accounts. I assume that I should have to adjust the "security proofs" or something similar to that after reading a few other threads.
The problem is, I have absolutely no way (to my knowledge at least) to recover my password, or get into the account again. The details, such as the security question, were made years ago and I cannot seem to remember them. I cannot:
- Use the security question, as I have forgotten it.
- Get e-mailed a "reset link" as I have forgotten the name of the e-mail I selected in reserve.
- Fill out the questionnaire as I continue to get denied due to the fact I can't remember enough details in order to prove the account is mine.
- Get my password e-mailed to the ID's account as I cannot remember the password to it.
- Use the "phone" or "text" method of getting a code as I don't think my account wasn't set up with one.
So, what I am really asking here is:
Are there any other alternate methods in which I can use to get into my Window's ID long enough to change the password & the e-mail to one that I use currently?
Inform me if not.
Thanks for any help & responses.
Note: The Windows ID I am using now is linked to a silver membership account that I don't use anymore.
Cheers.
