Call us overprotective........ that's how it started!

Since I was forced to change my email from hotmail to Outlook nothing works any more.
It is simply impossible to get into my email. I have done anything required of me, from creating a new account, a new pass word, etc etc.
I am required to verify my email with a code. At the beginning three times in the row the code was rejected, than the code was sent to an email address that is invalid and therefor could not be accessed. There was no other option offered for alternative email address as all my alternative email addresses are microsoft ones. 
I was send in circles for about 12 hours all up and yesterday I finally got in to my email account, but today it is the same game again. I have to varify with a code number and can not get into any email account to retrieve the code number.
They asked me alternatively for my mobile number but I do not use a mobile not do I want to use one.
This has become total nightmare for me as the email connection to my friends is my only contact with the world.
Can anyone help me please?
